Benefits

Combining the latest cutting-edge solar and home energy storage, with our clever tariff tracker and switching system we can help you to minimise the amount you pay for the electricity you buy.

Lower energy bills – save from 30% to 100% on annual energy bills*

By generating your own energy, you can reduce the amount of power that you need to purchase from the grid. By using a battery, the benefits and savings can be increased even further.

Capturing and storing as much of the solar energy you produce as possible in a battery so it can be used in the home helps you reduce the amount of electricity you have to buy and maximises the benefit of the system as a whole of your solar system.

The power can then be used from your energy storage system when you need it, and at the most cost-effective times, such as when energy prices are at their highest. Combined with our tariff tracker, which helps you to access the lowest electricity tariffs on the market for any energy you do buy, the savings could be significant.

While the savings made will be dependent on several factors, including the size of the system, the type of property and your individual energy use, typical savings could be:

  • Solar and battery scheme – typical saving for a family of four – over £500 a year.
  • Air source heat pump – typical saving for a medium household – over £300 a year on bills and qualifying for more than £1000 of income via the government-backed RHI scheme.
  • Automatic energy tariffs switching – average saving – £385/yr

Protection against rising energy prices

No one knows for sure whether energy bills will rise or fall in the future, but we do know what has happened over recent years. In 2018, energy firms announced a total of 57 price increases, compared with 15 the previous year. We saw prices rise by 6%, and over the past 10 years, we’ve seen prices go up by more than a whopping 40%.in real terms.

Our complete home energy system can help protect you against spiralling energy prices by reducing the amount of power you need to purchase from the grid. It can also switch you to the lowest cost tariffs available for the electricity you do buy.

Improved carbon footprint

Moving to electricity for heat and transport are two of the key ways that homeowners can reduce their impact on the environment.

By switching to renewable energy sources and reducing reliance on fossil fuels, such as gas, petrol and diesel, you can dramatically improve your carbon footprint.

Just like with trains, and even gym memberships, when we all want to do something at the same time the price goes up. The same is true with your energy even though it’s usually invisible to you. Evening peak demand for power is usually generated more from coal, gas and oil which are polluting and produce expensive power.

Shifting your energy purchases to lower cost times of day by using the flexibility of a battery, also means you are usually using lower carbon electricity from the grid too.

If you generate your own energy (such as by installing solar panels or using a heat pump) then by storing the excess electricity being generated by the solar panels in a battery so you can use the power when you need it, you can create a highly cost efficient, highly environmentally friendly, energy system.
